Accrington Cricket Club is delighted to announce the signing of Stuart Crabtree. Crabby returns after a spell at Whalley who we’d like to thank for their help in getting this over the line quickly.
Crabby has played over 400 games for Accrington amassing over 5000 runs with two Lancashire League centuries to his name. He has won three Lancashire League titles and a Worsley Cup which includes Accrington’s famous double winning side from 2008.
Accrington captain Jacob Clarke shared his thoughts. “We’re all really happy to bring Crabby back. His experience and quality speaks for itself and he’ll improve us immensely as we look forwards to tackling Division One. We’ll be tested next year and he has the character to face what’s to come head on. He is brave, knows his game and will put the team first. Having played a lot of cricket with Crabby I know he’ll fit in seamlessly to the group and how we play our cricket.”
