Jurie Snyman celebrated re-signing as Accrington professional for next season with a match winning third league century of the season at Rawtenstall.

Snyman smashed ten sixes and ten fours in making 126 from 89 balls, passing 500 runs for the season.

Rawtenstall professional Anuk Fernando also hit a century, making 108 in his sides 209-6.

Fernando hit seventeen fours and two sixes from 123 balls in making his third century of the season.

A good opening spell by Mehmood Ahmad saw the wicket of opener Matt Kershaw (15) fall to a juggling catch by Jon Hayhurst in the gully at 44.

Tabassum Aziz (5) fell to Snyman at 77.

Rizwan Shafiq joined his professional to add another 81 for the 3rd wicket when Fernando was run out.

Skipper Dean Barlow (5) fell to Ahmad at 166.

Tom Braysford then picked up Cameron Holder (2) and Ben Roscoe (2) at 173 and 175.

Shafiq went on to make an unbeaten 54, including three fours and a six, adding an unbroken 34 for the 7th wicket with Gareth Jones (8 not out).

Shafiq then struck with the ball, removing opener Hayhurst (3) and Yousuf Ali (0) at 3 in his second over.

Shafiq also removed the other opener George Mills (1) at 4 but Emile Haratbar (7) joined his professional to take the score to 50 before being trapped in front by Keith Roscoe.

Skipper Graeme Sneddon (38) then added 123 for the 5th wicket with Snyman who fell to Holder at 173.

Sneddon fell to Fernando at 194 and Andy Greenwood (16) was also trapped in front by Roscoe without addition.

Siraj Hussain (6 not out) and Asad Khan (9 not out) saw Accrington over the line in the 38th over to register a fifth win of the season.
