Professional Jurie Snyman was unbeaten on 92 when the Accrington innings was terminated on 146-5 after 33 overs against Rawtenstall at The iMEP Arena.
Snyman hit a dozen fours and two sixes from 112 balls, passing 500 runs for the season.
After losing Jon Hayhurst (0) to new skipper Cameron Holder (3-31) at 4, Snyman and Nathaniel Young (8) put on 33 before Young was caught by Harry Etchells off Holder.
Two runs later Holder struck again be cleaning up his opposite number Graeme Sneddon without scoring.
Emile Haratbar was caught behind by Tabassum Aziz off professional Anuk Fernando at 66.
Ali Hasham added 27 with his professional before being caught by Tom Egan off Josh Parker for 13.
Snyman and Waleed Majeed (13 not out) had put on 63 for the 6th wicket when rain stopped play again.
Chasing a revised target of 177 from 33 overs, Rawtenstall were 71-0 from 14 overs when the match was abandoned.
Matt Kershaw (39 not out) and Aziz (28 not out) were the not out batters.
The seconds match at Rawtenstall was also abandoned.
