Accrington went down to a 77 run defeat to Ramsbottom at The iMEP Arena.

The win take Ramsbottom to the top of the Division 2 table for the first time after Walsden's surprise defeat at Rishton.

Tom Parton hit an unbeaten 104 in Ramsbottom's 261-3.

Parton hit seven fours and a six in his fifth Lancashire League century, passing 500 runs for the season.

He put on 45 with JJ Fielding (21), 73 with Ben Pearson (33) and 136 with professional Hareen Buddila who hit five fours and three sixes in his league best  innings of 83.

Buddila then took 5-46 and JJ Fielding picked up 3-34 to restrict Accrington to 159-9, chasing a revised target of 237 runs from 43 overs.

Professional Jurie Snyman hit 57, including six fours and two sixes, skipper Graeme Sneddon made 38 and Jon Hayhurst 21 in an opening stand of 65 with his professional.
