Professional Jurie Snyman hit a superb unbeaten 92 to lead Accrington to an 8 wicket win over leaders Greenmount at The iMEP Arena in a 29 overs a-side game.

Jurie took 4-39 with Dan Stevens top scoring with 35 in Greenmount's 129-8.

Mehmood Ahmad picked up the prized wickets of professional Jacques Snyman (16) at 23 and in-form skipper Travis Townsend (7) at 50 with Andy Kerr (1) being run out at 32.

Jurie trapped Tom Heaton (20) in front at 54.

Stevens and Gavin Nicholl (24) put on 32 for the 5th wicket before both fell to Jurie who also trapped Callum Hunter (3) in front at 102.

The Hayhurst brothers combined to remove Max Birtwistle (3) at 128 with the innings closing one run later at 129 with Sam Greenhalgh (9 not out) and Jack Thomond (1 not out) both unbeaten.

Jon Hayhurst (8) departed at 37 and Yousuf Ali (18) fell at 111, but Jurie ploughed on, hitting seven fours and four sixes to win the battle of the Snymans, taking Accrington to a first ever win over Greenmount in the 27th over.

Greenmount drop down to second place and Accrington move up to seventh.

Scorecard

The seconds completed a great double over Greenmount with a remarkable 1 wicket win. 

Chasing 150 to win, the seconds were in deep trouble on 78-9 when an unbroken last wicket stand of 76 won the match.

Zain Hanif hit an unbeaten 40 and Antonio Lo-Giudice an unbeaten 9 to win the game in the 42nd over.
