Greenmount July 27th

Professional Jacques Snyman took a league best 7-24 to help Division 2 leaders Greenmount to a maximum points win over next to bottom club Accrington.

Four of Snyman's victims were clean bowled.

A fine opening spell by Callum Hunter saw the left armer pick up opener Graeme Sneddon (10) caught at mid on at 14 after skipper Travis Townsend had removed Nathaniel Young (4) at 6.

Jon Hayhurst (21) and professional Jurie Snyman put on 47 for the 3rd wicket when the amateur became Jacques' first victim.

Stand-in skipper Emile Haratbar (2) was trapped in front at 74.

Jacques then bowled Abbaas Ahmad (11) and Darcey Carter (0) at 106.

Asad Khan (0) survived the hat-trick ball but was on his way back five runs later when he was caught by Tom Heaton.

Jurie (38) fell next, pulling Noah Birtwistle's loosener straight to Cameron Mapstone who took a well judged catch on the deep mid wicket boundary.

Jacques then wrapped up the innings by cleaning up Waqar Ashraf (1) and last man Damian Clarke in the space of three balls leaving Oliver Lowe unbeaten on 0.

Lowe was soon in the game again removing Jacques with his second ball before a run had been scored.

Khan trapped Heaton (4) in front at 6 but Andy Kerr (39) and Townsend (38) put on 81 before Ahmad removed both players at 87 and 97.

Mapstone (17 not out) and Gavin Nicholl (9 not out) secured the victory in the 21st over.
