Great Harwood July 13th

The first match to finish was at The Evolve Document Solutions Cliffe Park where Great Harwood ended a run of four straight defeats with a 9 wicket win over Accrington thanks to an outstanding bowling performance from professional Thikshila de Silva who took a career best 9-34 from 13.3 overs to bowl Accrington out for 88 in the 27th over.

It was one way traffic at one end with Accrington professional Jurie Snyman hitting 52 from 49 balls, including six fours and a six to prevent a complete rout.

After Ethan Houldsworth had sent back opener Jon Hayhurst (2) at 12, de Silva removed Asad Khan (8), Yousuf Ali (2), Emile Haratbar (1), George Mills (0), skipper Graeme Sneddon (4), Siraj Hussain (0), Jimmy Hayhurst (5), Zain Hanif (0) and finally Snyman with the score on 88.

Matt Oddie then hit an unbeaten 51, including five fours, to lead Great Harwood to a maximum points win in the 26th over.

Caleb Greenhalgh (21) was trapped in front by Snyman at 55, but Alex Kennedy hit an unbeaten 14 to take the home side to victory.
