Career best performances from Yousuf Ali and Nathaniel Young helped Accrington to a first win of the season at Alexandra Meadows where they beat bottom club East Lancs by 129 runs.
A 3rd wicket stand of 197 between Young and professional Jurie Snyman helped Accrington post 324-8, the clubs third highest Lancashire League total.
After losing Jon Hayhurst (0) and skipper Graeme Sneddon (15) to Sheraz Ahmad at 5 and 28, the pair put Accrington on top with Snyman hitting fifteen fours and six sixes and Young hitting eight boundaries in making 52, his maiden senior half century.
It was Ahmad who broke the partnership by having Young caught by Abdul Rehman at 225.
Snyman had a wild swing at the same bowler and was bowled for 127 at 240.
Ahmad (5-53) trapped Ali Hasham (2) in front at 244 to claim his maiden five wicket haul in the Lancashire League.
Jacob Clarke and Emile Haratbar (32) added another 57 for the 6th wicket before Haratbar fell to Asad Shahid.
Ali also fell to Shahid (3-37) without scoring at the same total and Clarke fell for 48 at 322.
Oliver Lowe (4 not out) and Mohammed Tayyib (2 not out) were both unbeaten at the close.
Snyman removed Yusuf Pardesi (20) at 48 and Haris Saleemi (36) at 87 with Clarke sending back Shahid (14) at 77.
Hasham removed stand-in skipper and overseas amateur Hudson Walshaw for 19 at 144 after a 4th wicket stand of 57 with Junaid Waris.
Ali joined the attack and picked up Kal Umerji (2) at 170 and Dawood Rahman (1) at 179.
Hayhurst claimed his first senior wicket by having Waris caught behind by Haratbar at 191 for 41.
In a dramatic final over Ali removed Ahmad (11), Rehman (0) and Abubkar Hotiania (0) in successive balls to bowl East Lancs out for 195 with one ball remaining.
Ali claimed a career best 5-30 and a maiden senior hat-trick as the last four wickets fell for the addition of 4 runs.
Accrington conceded a club record 49 extras in the East Lancs innings including 29 wides.
The second lost by 1 wicket to East Lancs at the iMEP Arena in another dramatic ending.
Abbaas Ahmad hit 91 in Accrington's 253-8. Zain Hanif took 4-58 but East Lancs edged home in the 43rd over.
