Professional Jurie Snyman hit his second century of the season for Accrington against Crompton but again finished on the losing side this time by 7 wickets at The iMEP Arena.
Snyman's brilliant league best 153 from 115 balls took Accrington to 232 all out in the 49th over.
Snyman smashed thirteen sixes and thirteen fours to completely dominate the innings, finally falling after adding 107 for the 10th wicket with veteran Damian Clarke who finished on 1 not out from 20 balls.
Opener Nathaniel Young (8) was caught by skipper Simon Wright off Adam Good at 15.
Sam Rigby (3-46) had Jon Hayhurst (8) caught by Good at 31 with Jacob Clarke (12) falling to Good without addition.
Five runs later skipper Graeme Sneddon (5) fell to Rigby.
Emile Haratbar (28) and Snyman put on 56 before Haratbar fell to Asif Fazal.
Oliver Lowe (0) fell to Fazal at 100.
Asad Khan (1), Zain Hanif (0) and thirteen year-old Noah Cronshaw (0) all fell to Jaime King (3-34) at 113, 113 and 125.
Lowe cleaned up Will Jackson (8) at 13 but Saif Bhojani (83, including seven fours and a six) and professional Mohammad Jamal (89 from 57 balls with nine fours and four sixes) put on 133 to put Crompton in charge.
Snyman removed Jamal at 146 but Bhojani and Denis Louis (35 not out) added 74 before the opener fell to Zain Hanif with 13 needed.
