This season we are looking back at the long hot summer of 1976 when the club finished as runners up in both league and cup to Rawtenstall and also the less successful season of 1996 when the club finished bottom for the third season running in it's 150th year with Chad Grainger as professional.
Champions Accrington were 63-1 in reply to Burnley's 152-9 when the match at Turf Moor was rained off on Sunday May 2nd 1976.
Bacup professional Roger Harper made up for lost time by taking a league best 9-22 to bowl his team to a 9 wicket win at Accrington on Saturday May 4th 1996.
Top of the table Lowerhouse secured a fourth successive maximum points win of the season with a huge 141 run win at Liverpool Road over bottom club Accrington who lost for the fourth time in as many matches on Sunday May 5th 1996.
